Real Weddings
Melissa + Ben :: The Driskill Hotel
We're on Day 2 of our SMS Photography love week. This wedding was also at the Driskill Hotel and I just loved the deep red and ivory combos. It was so vintage and classic and the theme looked great inside the hotel. It also helped that Melissa is gorgeous! We couldn't have done it without the fabulous Caplan Miller girls and Simon Lee Bakery. Thanks ladies, its always a pleasure working with such great people.

We used a custom aisle runner with a monochromatic damask pattern for that vintage feel, along with our signature candlescape with hydrangea accents and simple altar pieces in stone urns.
We had an array of different table arrangements that included the simple ivory colors with the burgundy and green accents with a chocolate leaf swirl to cover the stems and create a clean look. You'll also see that we created a way to use the bridesmaids bouquets as part of the centerpieces.
Lovely simple design by Simon Lee accented by fluffy white hydrangea.
And they lived happily ever after... :)
Loni + Josh :: The Driskill Hotel
This week we're going to feature a few of our weddings that SMS Photography has beautifully photographed and shared with us. She's working on her website as we speak so check out her blog for more beautiful images. It feels like every other wedding we're working with her and we couldn't be happier about it. Stacy, (great name by the way!) is super talented and we can always count on her for those amazing detail shots. She appreciates design & details and most importantly, she captures the entire essence of an event. Hip! Hip! Hooray! for SMS Photography!
Loni has amazing taste and she wanted something cool, modern and very clean. We loved all the black and white details. Her table design consisted of black manzanita branches adorned with crystals and white dendrobium orchids adding a mound of ivory hydrangeas at the base to balance out the strong branches.
The wonderful and super talented Caplan Miller team handled the day flawlessly.
Last but not least... We always love Driskill weddings!
So, off to the photos... hope you enjoy!! :)
Our Original Winter Wonderland!
We've been blogging about our "winter wonderland" themed open house at The Terrace Club and at our bridal show booth and we wanted to show you where the inspiration came from. December 6, 2008 - Lauren & Jim The Terrace Club, Dripping Springs Texas
Jona Davis with Forever Photography did an amazing job capturing all the details of the day. We also think that lighting really creates that ambiance that you're after. The icy blue light truly makes the design thanks to Ilios Lighting. Lauren & Jim even had "real" snow come down on guests as they entered The Terrace Club.
There's a lot of pictures we wanted to include so be prepared! Jona - we love them all!!

Suspended candles from the trees created some "warmth" in this snow covered room. In between the trees on the aisle we had white shepherd's hooks snow-flocked with hanging white pomanders to soften the texture against the branches.Mary Jane + Mike :: Salt Lick Pavilion
We love weddings at the Salt Lick Pavillion and Thurman's Mansion. Not only is it super close to our studio and home, but we love how versatile the space is. You can go from Hill Country chic to classy elegance to fun with some gerbera daisies. Mary Jane's decor was fun, sassy and romantic. We loved the vintage-y feel that her bridal bouquet had.
Thank you to the super generous and talented Michael Hooks with Hooked on Photography for these lovely images. We can always count on him for some great detail shots!
We loved how the bridal bouquet really suited Mary Jane's dress for a soft look and the fun "pop" of color against the bridesmaids' dresses.
